Hang With Gators

Looking to get beyond cartoon animals and see the real thing? Head to Gator Land. This outdoor attraction sits on more than 100 acres and provides you with up-close and personal views of thousands of gators and crocodiles.

If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the elusive Florida Panther. This is one of the best things to do in Orlando for families. If you have older children, there’s even a zip line and the opportunity to go off-roading.

Drive in Style

Most people can’t afford to buy a luxury car. So one of the best things to do in Orlando, FL is to rent a luxury car and drive in style.

And there aren’t any cars that are more coveted than the Rolls Royce. Rolls Royce rentals are available in numerous Florida cities, from Orlando to Miami. And once you have yours, driving from Orlando to Miami makes for a great day trip.

A Paddling Adventure

Orlando might not be on the coast like all of Florida’s other tourism hubs, but that doesn’t mean it lacks water access.

If you are looking for cheap things to do in Orlando that involve old Florida nature, head to Rock Springs, 40 miles north of Orlando, to paddle in clear-bottom kayaks in a crystal clear spring.

Or, if you’re looking for things to do in Orland at night, visit Epic Paddle Adventures for some nighttime paddleboarding through downtown.

Catch a Rocket Launch

Orlando is just a short drive away from the Space Coast, on the Atlantic side of the state. The Kennedy Space Center is home to multiple rocket launches throughout the year.

Check out the Space Center launch calendar to see if there will be any launches during your trip. While you might catch a glimpse from Orlando, nothing beats being up close to a once-in-a-lifetime rocket launch.

Aside from launches, the Space Center offers plenty of tours, allowing kids to walk through actual rocketships, along with chances to meet and learn from astronauts.
